Mural

Here is a mural I painted during September and October. I need to go back and take some better pictures, but really wanted to put them up to show. I am working on another mural right now, so check back for another great painting (and probably better images of this one too). Enjoy!

Sketch Designs

Here are a few safe designs/ mock ups I did for Liberty Safe. They decided to go in a different direction - so it's back to the drawing board I go!

Traveling Art Exhibit

My Hogle Zoo Art Gallery piece from the beginning of the year was chosen by the Utah Arts Council to go on tour for 2010 and 2011. Here is a link to where the Traveling Exhibit will be if you are in Utah and would like to go see it.

Letter "C"

Here is my letter "C" - The Cooking Camel. This cooking camel is making something wonderful. A proverb states - "Be like a camel -- carrying sweets but dining on thorns."

Animal Alphabet

Here is a new fun project. I am creating very quick animal cards for each letter of the alphabet! This Aspiring Alligator is immovable in his determination to succeed.

Some Current Work

Here is one of a few images I was hired for. Enjoy!

Hogle Zoo Competition

Well - I have had a great week! I found out that my Mongolian Monal was chosen to hang in the Hogle Zoo Art Gallery for the next 2 months! Then out of over 125 paintings it was chosen by the Utah State Art Council to go on tour for an entire year! I couldn't believe it! Not only was it chosen but when my husband and I went to the gallery opening reception it was on the very first wall where everyone could see! Believe me... I have been super happy all week!

Hogle Zoo Competition Paintings

Here are pictures of the two paintings I did for the Hogle Zoo in Salt Lake City, UT competition. One is of a Himilayan Monal and the other is of Bush Vipers. Since they had to be actual paintings I used one of my favorite techniques... packaging tape! It's so much fun!

Deer

Here is an large painting I did for a company. It is 24X48. I think that's the largest acrylic painting I have ever done. It was so much fun! I can't wait to do another! I posted some of the pictures I took during the process just for fun. I need to get some high res photos of it so that I can post better ones.
I posted this for IF - Hatch because this imaged hatched from my mind and was painted in such a short time! And if you think about it... most everything hatches at one point or another.

Liberty Safe Work

I just thought it might be nice to post some of the things I have been working on lately. I didn't actually cut out the metal but I designed the lady Liberty and prepared it to be cut. She was used to hang up next to their company name right above where people walk in. I hope to get a good picture of that soon. The other is a large tile that is inlaid between tiles in the floor as you walk in the front entrance.
